Proposal Reviewer

About the position

The Proposal Reviewer plays a critical role in MEEK's core function: funding community-led businesses. When members submit venture proposals, you'll be among the first to assess them. This means reading business plans, asking hard questions, identifying risks, and providing structured feedback. You don't need to be a VC—but you do need good judgment, intellectual honesty, and the ability to evaluate whether an idea has real potential or is just hopeful thinking. Your recommendations directly influence treasury decisions.

Job responsibilities

As a Proposal Reviewer, you'll work within the governance structure to vet incoming proposals before they reach community vote. You'll collaborate with other reviewers and the Treasury Advisor to ensure consistent evaluation standards.

• Review submitted venture proposals against established criteria.
• Provide written feedback to applicants with clear reasoning.
• Score proposals on viability, team strength, alignment, and return potential.
• Participate in reviewer discussions to reach consensus on recommendations.
• Flag risks, conflicts of interest, or red flags to the governance council.

This is a part-time, remote role compensated in $MEEK tokens plus governance privileges. Ideal for someone with business or investing experience who wants to shape where community capital flows.
